Our Mission

Our mission is to create, share, and proliferate time capsules that will help archaeologists of the distant future unearth what life was like on our planet.

Why? Because we're Platinum Pizzeria. A First Lego League Robotics Team from Northeast Ohio, and we have a problem to solve for the 2025 FLL Season, also known as "Unearthed". We researched problems that archaeologists face, and we came to a conclusion: it's difficult to study the past because over time, artifacts are lost, stolen, or subject to environmental decay. 5,000 years ago, most people weren't thinking, "how can we help people of the future understand who we are and how we live". Some civilizations like the Romans and Egyptians were able to leave lasting markers, but few had similar knowledge and resources. 

To help ensure equal representation for all societies around the world, we've designed a citizen science approach to long term artifacts that will help future archaeologists understand who we are, and how we live. If enough people believe in the importance of this mission, and follow our instructions, together we'll leave a lasting marker on this planet for future archaeologists and civilizations.
